What an interesting story. In some way is something that we have heard so many times in different contexts. What we can see in the story is just the extremities of a world. The opposite side of the coin. There's the black man who has many needs to satisfy everyday, but working hard because it's not only for him but for his daughter too. He lives a rural lifestyle and he doesn't have any luxury and comfort. And on the other hand is the white man that doesn't have to deal with urgent needs and if someday he would, he will have how to get through the situation because he has a good economic situation and he live a life way better with another characteristics.
Based in what I just said, the reasons behind the misscommunication between them are explained by itself. They have a wall that separates them cultural, economical and socially. They came from different conditions, from different contexts, from different worlds. So it wasn't easy for them, in spite of how much they could've talk, it was something that even they wanted it ot not, these differences will be there.
