Barranquilla was chosen as Cultural Capital of 2013 "by the will of the city determined to make culture a strategic element of social cohesion, civic revitalization, economic development and international projection". It means a development opportunity for Barranquilla as it allows us to promote a positive image of our city national and internationally. Barranquilla will also be recognized as a center of popular culture, heritage and diversity and is on the list of cities that will have a great development in the future. So we have a big responsibility but after that we will see good results.
